So I wanted to update on my fathers status and this is his forth day of feeling really well. I mean he says his pain is like a one and he says he hasn't felt this good since may.  He's out shopping with my sister right now.  I think the stent has finally kicked in.  Does anyone know if this is normal to feel that good after you get a stent put in?  Also, if anyone is interested in all the supplements and the liquid diet he is one please feel free to email me.  Also, can anyone tell me how long their stent has lasted? Thanks a bunch and God Bless!

You know i've been wondering the same thing...My father 75 was diagnosed with P.C. with metastisis to the omentum sometime in july....and he was symptomatic in the begining...alot of discomfort not ness. pain but discomfort.  He was extremely fatigued and had zero appetite.  my father went thru about 3 weeks of gemzar chemo and he felt worse 2-3 days after chemo every week.

i happened to pass by a naturopathic store in nyc and was initially looking for pancreatic enzymes.  but they told me about AHCC....2 days after my father been taking this supplement in addition to red reishi mushroom capsules  hes been doing great.....for the past 2 months he's been great....its really hard to explain ...his energy is up...hes been eating 3 -4 times a day on his own and has zero discomfort.  I know this AHCC is working somehow because my father doesn't even feel nauseous or anything after chemo.

my father just told met he other day that he was bored and felt like he wanted to go back to work if things continue to get better.

I would advise you look into AHCC supplements 500mg capsules...my father has been taking 6 pills a day...as i said my father has been asymptomatic so far while taking this.

I dont know if anyone would tell you anything is NORMAL....i think the best thing we can do is just try our hardest to make sure they're not in any PAIN.

What kind of enzymes are you talking about? My father takes vitalzyme. Have any of you heard of that?

Hey Dave,

I told my father about the situation with your dad and I was wondering if your dad would be up to speaking to my father.  My dad is really cool and is a nice guy and he would love to chat with your father.  He would really love to encourage and support someone else who is going thru the same thing.  If your dad is not up to it no worries. But if anyone else that has pancreatic cancer and would like to start a friendship or just share what they are going thru let me know because my dad would love to talk to you. God Bless. Jeria

Hey

My dad wouldn't mind at all the only thing is that he doesn't speak english that well.  He primarily speaks chinese.  What questions does your father have?  How is he doing btw?   I hope he's still doing good.  I didn't get the enzymes that night ... I bought the AHCC.  i actually did some research and found a free booklet about AHCC from iherb.com .  Of course we know there's no cure for this cancer our dads have but anything that can make them feel better you know.

what chemo or medications are your father on?  did he need the vitalzymes or did you just give him that to perhaps help with digestion?  so far my dad doesn't have problems with digestion but then again my father did have colon cancer and that did affect the way he voided so he's used to some level of constipation.

But i know its weary to belive in supplements at times but like i said ever since i've given the AHCC to my dad he's been so much better. more then i could ask for.  I hope it continues but whatever makes him feel better and our days less stressful is good.  my dad is taking a 500mg pill form and takes 6 a day  . 3 in the am and 3 in the pm both times on empty stomach...i think they actually have a 750mg form that i'm going to buy him next.

look into red reishi mushroom, AHCC, and ABM mushroom  .

Hey Dave,

Thats ok about your dad not speaking english.  My dad is doing ok with his pain at a like a 2 which is major. Right now he takes a morphine patch and ms-contin which is morphine sulfate contin.  My father had extremely bad pain and his tumor is sitting on a major blood vessel. But now we seem to have his pain under control.  My father is not doing chemo or radiation because it really just doesnt make sense.  He doesnt want to ever have surgery so we are trying to shrink it with his special diet and supplements. He gets vitamin C IV's twice a week and something else called microcurrent.  I did find the ahcc you were talking about but I do know that his alternative dr's are giving him stuff to build his immune system.  What stage is your father in?  His dr gave him the vitalyzme to take.  We just took another ca-19 test tuesday so we should know what the numbers are next week. I believe his last test was like 972 and it went down 3 points when he was only on the diet for a week.  Wow your dad had 2 cancers my father had prostate, lung and this one all in the last 5 years.  He's only 59.  What is your father's name so we can pray for him?

My father's name is Peter.  Peter Sung.  I know both of us have great dads and they're both brave.  Our dads aren't statistics lets remember that.  My dad was taking morphine in the begining but he actually had a overdose. but since then he hasn't touched it which has been since about july.  Im sure you're doing a great job caring for your dad i hope he continues to feel better.  what is your fathers name and where do you and your family reside?

FYI i work at a hospital and today i actually spoke to a man in his 50's that has a history of pancreas Ca.  I was surprised that it was in his history but hes apparently in remission now.  im going to ask him more if hes up for talking about it.

My fathers name is Frank. So let me get this straight your dad doesnt take any pain meds at all? We live in san diego california.  Are you a nurse or cna? Great news about  that fellow you'll have to let me know more when you talk to him.  Has your dad experienced any hallucinations? One more question, does your dad have a stent, I cant remember? Have a blessed day. Is it just me or is this site slow??
