Another issue to add to the list

Hello All!

I hope everyone is having a good day :).

My mom age 72 as of Monday, has been in the ER twice in the past 2weeks.  1st time with a blood clot in each lung.  We were lucky to catch it.  She had a hospital stay of 3nights.  They are still trying to regulate her blood because now it's too thin!!  Now we have another list of things to look out for.  Yesterday she was in the ER for extreme pain in her shoulder and neck area.  Shingles, they say...gave her 2 morphine shots and sent her home and said rash/blisters should appear.  It seems like every time the phone rings it's something bad.

Her oncologist wants her in the office on Wednesday for a consult.  They haven't done chemo in 3weeks because of her blood clots.  Why the consult???  I hope all goes well.  It is so hard to keep positive, but we are but barely hanging on.

I am wishing everyone a great and beautiful day tomorrow.

Vanessa

 Hi

Venessa, sorry to her about your Mom and what she is going through, do you know if she is on blood thinners? With blood clots they have to be careful with giving chemo as they probaly want to assess the situation.

Maybe Google  Blood clots and chemo...

Try to be postive and keep going and hug your Mom tons, and keep telling her you love her and keep he going .

The side effects of chemo can be so ughy.. and it can rob your body of so much, thats why need to  have a good vitimin, lots of fruit and vev and drink lots of water each day..keep off sugar and red meats and pork...

God Bless and keep you both going ....Rob
