Hi, i am a 44 yr old female diagnosed with stage IV melanoma... just finished 3 wks of high dose radiation...now I just started the leukine injections yesterday.
My melanoma was strange found in my retroperitoneal area adjacent to my vertebral column located near L2. No primary site was every located on my skin. I did undergo major sugery to have the tumor excised and sent off for pathology. It has not been 3 1/2 months since the diagnosis and I am constantly worried if there will be a recurrence. I am also a Hodgkins Lymphoma surviver since 1992.
Yes I have tremendous family and friend support and definately have a positive mind set to beat this.
