First I think I would insist on a PET scan to see if there was any hypermetabolic activity, something a CAT scan does not show.
Second, why would you ever agree to do chemo if they have not yet done a biopsy or a PET?
Even with your history of bladder cancer, I think I would want more concrete evidence that these "spots" are in fact malignant before I agreed to any chemo. How do they know what chemo to give you if they don't know what type cancer you have.
They gave me 6 months with stage 4 lung cancer, both lungs. And as of today that was 3 years ago. So don't give up an don't take anything at face value.
