Subject: New Web Site For Cholangiocarcinoma
Date: 01/13/2006
Hi Everyone,
My name is Kelley. My 39 year old brother Mark was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma in Oct. 2005. At that time we were told like many of you that there was not much hope. Since then we have been researching for information and trying to find others who are dealing with this disease. We have talked to many of you and have appreciated the good information you have given us.

We decided as a family, in conjunction with a few others families who are also dealing with this, that we wanted to start a website just for cholangiocarcinoma. We have given this information to some of you, but if you have not received it please go to www.cholangiocarcinoma.org. Please register on the site so that we can all share information. As I have been looking for others with cholangiocarcinoma, I have found many who post on a site and then never hear from anyone. We want this to be a place for all of us to share and receive information. If you are in contact with anyone else who would be interested in this site please share this info. with them.

As a family we are not ready to give up in this fight. Information is a very powerful tool. We hope this site will be helpful to all of us. If you have any suggestions for the site, let us know.

Thanks, Kelley

Hello Kelley and all,
Dx on 6/6/03.My wife and I went back to my oncologist on Mon.,then saw the chaplain. At this time we heard the most wonder-full words:
I am a 3-day survivor!Today I am STILL a survivor, living WELL one day at a time.Cancer is but a word--NOT a sentence. It cannot steal your HOPE and LOVE and recovery.I've been thru chemo and radiation and currently am on my fifth course of Xeloda(since Oct.).SO FAR,SO GOOD!The love and help of my doctors and nurses(especially),of my friend and family, of those who pray for and with me, of fellow travelers of this road, and of the volunteers that I've been introduced to along with the SPIRITUALITY of the whole 'kaboodle', has kert me(and US) afloat.Life is good...KEEP livin'it
and lovin'it!!
inFAITH...Tim
