NF1 and MPNST

Hi...I am a mother of 18 year old twin daughters with one of them fighting cancer.  My daughter has been fighting cancer since April 2007.  I think we have been doing okay with it but we have had some problems along the way.  We are now facing another surgery (2nd one within six months) and it scares me because it is in her spine.  We do not know if it is cancer again but they said they will biopsy it.  I am confused and just wondered if anyone has any information about spinal tumors or treatments.  Thank you for any help and God bless you.

Bless you and your family angelheart.   I am in remission going on 3 years in Jan.  I had a bowel resection for a cancerous stromal tumor and a total removal of a cancerous MPNST behind my heart.  The cancer was stage 3 high grade sarcoma.   I did the chemo and radiation thing.   Ifsofasimide  Doxorubicin/adriamyn. along with the mesna so the chemo drugs would not damage my kidneys.  Your daughter has youth on her side,  with this type of cancer young people stand a better chance of beating cancer,  something to do with the way the cells react to treatments.  I am 48 now and was in relatively good health, so I thought.   I had a tumor removed from my spine when I was 24 that turned out to be benign.  I you need to talk or write I will be here.  I am praying for you.
