I have had just two avastin treatment.  Next week comes three.  Since number two I have been so exhausted and apathetic.  Get up in the a.m and need two hours to get dressed; plod along most of the day.  The first session was okay but this week I'm ouot of it.  I am on 12 mg of dex and have been hoping to reduce but doc is sick with flu too! So need to wait til next week.

Any similar symptoms with avastin?  Teri

My husband is generally tired a day or two after Avastin but his overall fatigue we've been attributing to the Temodar.  Are you also on Temodar?

Not at this time.  I did the 30 radiations; the 7 weeks of temadar but it didn't shrink the tumor; moved onto rapamune an immune suppressent that did reduce the tumor for a couple months but then got pneum. and complications.  Now we've started avastin only.  I have my third treatment next week and will discuss it with the dr.  It could be the steroids.  My legs are so weak I'm having trouble getting up and down the stairs.  The rapamune really made my legs swell so I am glad to be off them as they now are much thinner and less aggravated.

But is is so hard to jump from one feeling and med to another.  This started In January.  I guess I should feel blessed to be here.  Teri

I also rejected the temador. I had sucess with Avastin/CPT11 together. Well at least 11 months of it. Due to some recent growth I am switching to XL-184. Hope I get good results. I did not have steriods with the avastin. Well had one treatment of steriods at IV but not after that. Good luck and say your prays
