Hello,my friend has a desmoplastic small round cell tumor in an advanced state and I had seen that since the autum came she´s worse. She follows a special diet for cancer so good that she took away the morphin, but now, suddenly needs it again. Please, can someone tell me if the change of season could affect negatively.Thanks.

You don't say how old your friend is or where you are, but it is not unusual for older people to have more aches/pains when the weather starts to get colder.  This isn't just for those with cancer, but could be from arthritis or other conditions.

I have cancer and live in a warm state but when that temperature drops, I know right away.  And I am also on morphine and notice that I have to take more when it's cold.

So to answer your question, it is definitely possible to affect negatively.

God Bless

Thanks a lot for your answer, I´m from the south of Spain, sorry for my english, my friend is a teenager and she has problems becouse of lack of melatonine so she cannot almost sleep, she was taking melatonine but now it is not working well couse her body became accustomed. Also an excess of melatonine inhibits the creation of cortisol, an hormon that reduces the pain so an abuse increases the need of morphine along with its side effects. She´s takes also magnesium. Can somebody tell me what other thing she can take or do?
