Need some information from those that have experienced this problem.  My husband has just been switched to Gleevec and Hydrea for progression.  He's also one week in on decadron for swelling.  Hasn't had decadron since Jan. 08.  When he was on it, got the hiccups, but was able to control them with Thorazine.  This hasn't worked at all this time.  We're trying Baclofen, but it's not helping either.  Dr. said to try Compazine, but no luck with this one either.  He's just miserable.  Can anyone give some advice of share a similar experience and what might help?

my daughter an almost  7yr survivor- gets the massive hiccups from time to time. We havent found anything that works all the time. So far the best has been a spoonful of sugar followed a few minutes later by drinking warm water.

Hi Dx 2004 GBM had hiccups when on decadron the only thing that worked for me was frosting ( vanilla ).  I would eat a table spoon full and the hiccups would go away for a while.  I know some think that sugar is not good for Brain cancer but I have a sweet tooth and aways have, I'm still here 5 yrs later.   Try it, it worked for me it may work for him.

Good Luck, Stay Strong : John
