MRI Today

I just wanted to share with everyone, my husband had his MRI today and it was clear.  That's very good news for now, but I can't forget GBM  brain cancer has the little fingers that like to grow in or around the Brain.

So, I am trying to think positive for now. And again live one day at a time.  But it's still hard when I know there will be a time when we are going to be facing bad news, it's just when.

That is good news! The unknown of this cancer is so scary - and I'm just starting out with it, but I am very happy for you and I hope for many clear scans to come!

HOORAY!!  It is wonderful that he is still clear.  The anxiety before an MRI is horrible but a good result is such a release.

Best Wishes,

It's incredibly stressful. I picture the roots in the garden of the weeds that you just cannot get rid of. They come back from even a tiny bit of a root. That's why we hope that someday there will be a vaccine for GBM's and other brain tumors. In the meantime, keep up your strength the best you can because the chemo really hits hard.

Glad to hear it, Penny.  Stay strong, and yes, one day at a time.

Penney;

Take a good deep breath and a long sigh of relief if only for now.  Have some solid nights of sleep. It is really awful always knowing that, yes, it will change but for now it is all good.  Do something special, celebrate.

Penny,

So happy to hear that the scan looked good!  I know it's hard to do the happy dance when the fight is continuous.  If anyone can understand that, it is all of us on this message board.  I always feel happy that my husband's scans are stable but then I am already on to the next thing -- chemo, vaccine (trial at Duke), etc.  My friends can never understand why I am not just jumping for joy because "he's doing so well".  He is for sure but those fears never leave us, do they?

Warmly,
Holly

Husband dx 2/09
