Multiple melanoma cancer

My friend has multiple melanoma cancer,she's taking some kind of treatment.  I really don't know what.   They gave her 5 years, and I said there isn't any other treatment.   I couldn't understand why she wouldn't get a second opinion on this.   Can anyone share any more information on this cancer.    De

Are you sure it's not Multiple Myeloma?  Myeloma is a blood cancer instead of a skin cancer.  Also, there are many more treatment options than one for both cancers.  She should see a specialist for the cancer type she has.  A general onco isn't the answer...in my opinion.
