Hello,

I have used the board before regarding my fathers diagnosis of adrenal cancer. The last 2months have been a nightmare for our whole family dad was initially diagnosed with adrenal cancer that had spread to lungs and liver and put on palliative care. we recently saw an oncologist who is now saying the cancer is only the adrenal cancer and not anywhere else (which is fantastic) my question is can anybody advise on whether my fathers current pain relief dosage of 120mg of oxycontinn plus 20mg oxynorm and 10mg endone taken twice daily with the palliative nurses pushing us  to give him an additional 10-20mg of injected morphine is a normal pain relief dosage. is anyone else taking such high doses of such a strong drug?? there appears to be other people that have shared there story regarding treatment options we are in Australia and at present have been given no options and only when i pushed for a trial atleast of mitotane were we given a " we will look into it" but aside from that it feels like  all doctors and specialists are sitting on their hands and telling him at 59yrs of age to go home drug up and wait to die which oncologists has said could be in 4-8 months. please if anyone can offer advice or guidence it would be so appreciated.
