thanks for your info. by the way, what is CA19-9. And going from 38000 to 44 mean.  My mom has lung cancer  with a few spots here and there.....but not bad yet. Course there is no cure. Just buying time. Anyway I'm not familiar with those numbers and counts. Maybe your mom has a different cancer?

I will share your story with mom and try to get her back on Tarceva. I thinking that drug can be managed and helpful from hearing from you people.  I Also put in an order for Lindiskin, mostly the face stuff. thanks again, and good luck.

Yes, you're right about my mom having a different type of cancer. I still get confused on this board when replying and forget that others have different cancers but possibly using the same chemo. My mother has pancreatic cancer - it was found advanced and inoperable and is usually considered terminal.  She is beating the odds though.

I sure hope the Lindiskin helps with your mom.  I'll keep her in my prayers.  I hear there are good results using the Tarceva with lung cancer. I wish it had been available about 4 years ago when my brother-in-law was fighting it.

My mother has been receiving Tarceva for two months now. After the first 2 weeks she developed a terrible rash that stopped her even from sleeping well in the evenings and was unbearable during the day. She tried many things that doctors suggested and all failed. By pure chance she tried a cream that is called Bepanthol (Roche) and the next day the rash dissapeared and until now never came back. Please forward this info to anyone that you know that is receiving Tarceva.

Hello

I saw your message. I've been looking to buy Bepanthol in the US for ages: do you know where it can be bought? I've only ever seen it in Germany and Switzerland. Thanks.

Hi all,  it seems all that have answered this post are having issues with the Tarceva rash.  When I first started with Tarceva 15 months ago I had the same issue.  My onc prescribed a med called Clobetasol Propionate Cream 0.05% and it worked wonders and is covered by my insurance.  I was familiar with the cream from a previous bout with eczema and tried this on a hunch, figured nothing to lose, and it worked.  My onc is now passing this info onto others.  He also prescibed a small green pill for the itching but the name escapes me at the moment.  If you read previous posts on Tarceva under lung cancer section I have listed all the meds on there previously.  Hope this helps some of you.
