Hello everyone I havent posted in a long time but just wanted to tell everyone who helped me through my difficult time that Alyssa and I are doing GREAT!    I lost my beautiful wife Jan 11 2008 and every day is a day I wish we still had her with us. Alyssa is now 6 (wow) and in grade one. She is doing totally Awesome with her piano lessons maybe the next (MILEY CYRUS??) and wonderful with her tap and Jazz classes.

I myself have found a wonderful person who loves me and Alyssa so much. Carmen has been a guiding light letting me grieve over the past year and a half but also loving me. Her kids have accepted Alyssa and I so much. Sometimes it hurts so much but sometimes you have to realize that you have to continue to live.

I  Hope that anyone out there who helped me through my difficult time is doing great and here is to you and your families.  For those fighting this deamon be strong live everyday together hug kiss love your loved ones. Every day is a blessing.

Mike

Glad to hear all is well. Thought of you, Alyssa, Carmen and her kids in the past week or so. I'm glad you two have been able to grieve for Shannon, but also have a loving happy home to help adjust to the loss. Thanks for letting us know things continue to go well.

Hi Mike,

I was so glad to see your message. I don't come here often anymore even though I think about and pray for everybody here. My computer time is spent on a COPD site much like this and I have found a lot of info to help my mom there.

I am so glad your have Carmen and I think it is great for Alyssa to have her and the other kids. I know you will always miss Shannon.

I will have to tell Karen / aka Worriedsick about your message. We keep in touch and even though we have never met she is one of my best friends.

My mother is in ICU right now fighting for her life. She went to the hospital for breathing issues and was about to come home when she got this bad stomach bug. She has been on the vent for 10 days now. We aren't given much hope but she is still fighting and the Dr's are fighting with her. So please send us some good thoughts.

For anybody reading this message, my mother was diagnosed in Dec 06 with stage 3 EC. I just want everyone here to know my mother is still cancer as far as we know. She had her last PET scan in March and has had several CT scans. No more endoscopies because of the lungs.

Everybody please pray for my Mama.

Mike, so good to hear from you.

Great to hear from you.  I am happy to hear that Carmen has given you all you and Alyssa need during this terrible time for you.  It is so important for a little girl to have another girl in her life to help her through.  I pray Carmen will be the one to guide her (along with the Lord).    I know Shannon will always be there in spirit for her too.  My sis ter lost her husband when her children were 4 and 6.  You are right is is very difficult to move forward, but it is also very necessary to do so.  Your life will never be the same, but that doesn't mean it won't ever be good again.  You will have some very great times in your future and Shannon would want you to grab onto those good times.  God bless you all.

I am very, very happy for you! It is very hard, you did GOOD with her. And now you are living her legacy for you and your daughter. She will never be far from you and Alyssa, and she is happy you have a 'love'.
