Survivor Network

Does anyone know of a Cancer survivor network for Cancer patients that are still alive and well at 10+ years after treatment?

I am not interested in the current liberal definition of cancer survivor as anyone who currently has cancer and is fighting it. Which should rightly be labeled false hope!  Most survivor networks that I have seen fall into this category.

A survivor is someone still alive after 7+ years after total remission of the cancer without resurgence of the desease. These are the only poeple who can rightly be labled as cancer survivors.

 So, any insights??

Thanks all.

Well Iam sure there are several. I belong to one but it is reserved for those who added alternate treatment (a specific kind) and are in remission or are doing very well. these include Grade lV Gbm, Breast, Multiple  Myeloma, lymphoma. The reason they keep it closed is that non alternative people came in and played with out heads. It was felt if you had gone thru the program then we all had something in common. Our site includes those that had regular chemo and added natural healing to it. I myself have survived 4 years cancer free and several others the same amount of time or longer. While this does not give you the group please know we are out there. All the best in your quest. MMS

Curing to death,

I have a feeling that you will look long and hard without much success.  Most people who have been cancer free for the period of time you require have moved on from survivor groups and are more interested in living their lives than reading and posting on a web site.  Really, if one has been cancer free for so long, why is there a need for a survivor group anymore?  Other things will now occupy their time.

Good luck in your search.

You don't have to give any names but a little more details would be great, I am just wondering how many are in your network? Who is the longest survivor? What specifically do you mean by "alternative", "natural healing"?

Thanks again, for your response.
