at duke, right now 2:32pm in chair getting avastin!!!!!

i did all my research and picked a clinical trial. my brain tumor has progressed in th past two weeks to the point where they thought i should go a different route. surprise!

now i am sitting in a chemo chair getting decadron/zofran, avastin, cpt-11 & carboplaton.

wi-fi, sportcenter, avastin buzz what could be better!

 seriously, lots of nice people here.

i have recurrent aa.seems like these drugs have become the standard after temodar.

i am interested in hearing from anyone who is having success on aything different. two or more agents.

 i'm not done looking at trials, this was just convenient.

Hey good on ya. Hope it helps, for sure. My son just started on the same cocktail as you, minus the CPT-11. All the other stuff. We'll see a new MRI after the second infusion. I'll think of you too, ok?

We had treatment at Duke...yep the meds seem endless, but we're almost two years out and scans are all stable!  Hang in there...you're in a great healing place. Take care,
