Going on 5 weks nor post TX, doing pretty good ( I think) Eating mushy food, drinking, maybe 1/3 cal by mouth now. I have a question for the long tim post TX's, how long does your throat hurt. I can eat/dring, but it certainally gets my attention! I am still on Meds, when I eat near a med time it is OK, but if I am a couple of hours off, Wow it hurts. I think of taking majic mouth wash and some times do.

Thanks

Steve

Hey Steve,

You posted this 10/20 and now 11/18...hope things are getting better...but ya, magic mouth wash...time towards meds.....swallow your pain(LOL), but true unfortunately....some of those throat lozangers and anteseptic sprays can help and stay away from spicey foods which really will get your attention.....sounds like you are doing well in this area.....continue to go slow and easy, take the meds and magic mouthwash, and eat bland food...I bet it has gotten a little better the last mouth but a long long process-you can do it if we did!!!!!!!!!!!  Every swallow is one swallow closer Steve to a full recovery.....one swallow at a time....like lifting weights.....etc......hope it is going easier for you.....Oudave
