Lymph nodes are cancerous

My husband's lymph nodes did turn out to be cancer.  We see the doctor next Wednesday.  The Radiologist puctured my husband's lung while doing the biopsy and he is trying to heal from that ordeal.  The lymph nodes are up high around the pericardium.  I'm so worried.  Anyone else know of anyone with metasasis stomach cancer to lymph nodes and what is usually the outcome?

I had surgery in early 2004 for what was thought to be a lung infection. During the operation a cancerous lymph node was found on my heart and needle biopsied (hindshight tells us it should probably have been removed instead.) I was later diagnosed with non Hodgkin's with tumours in my chest cavity and both lungs all inoperable. I declined all traditional treatment and have used alternative protocols instead with good results. If you'd like to research the supplements and treatments that I used let me know and I'll gladly send you some links. Best regards..... Sheila

I had four positive lymph nodes, out of the 22 they removed during my gastrectomy.  The positive nodes were all in my abdomen near my stomach.  After surgery I had chemo/radiation, then more chemo.  It has been two years. So far, so good.

I was diagnosed with stage 4 adenocarcinoma Oct. 08.  The cancer had moved to my lymph nodes and was non-operable at the time.  I started with five rounds of chemo, which knocked the cancer down and then had surgery to remove part of my stomach and esphogus.  One year later and I am cancer free.

Tom, so glad to hear of your success.  My husband, diagnosed Oct 19, sees the surgeon tomorrow for a laposcopy and will have a feeding tube put in, and probably port line.  Should start chemo next week.  What chemo did you take? I hear it may be three chemos for 2 months or more.  What can he eat?  Having a hard time with diet.  Help me make him comfortable.  Thanks!  Linda
