Someone Please Help...

I am a 24 year old female with no family history of colon cancer. I have been experiencing some very disturbing symptoms. It all started about a month ago when i noticed i had blood outside and inside of my stools. they were brown and formed normally, but i saw the bright red blood. Then i started having lower left pelvic pain. I was very concerned so my dr ordered me a sigmoidoscopy which came back normal but showed hemmoriods. I have had blood work, urinalysis, and a pap smear which all came back normal. i also have had an ultrasound of my lower pelvis which all showed normal organs with no cysts or abnormalities. Now i am having lower back pain, also my stools look like they are beaded. Its hard to explain, they are normal color and about normal size but look like there are about 3 or 4 beads or circles in them. the stool isn't too hard or too soft. i am so scared i have colon cancer, or some kind of intestinal cancer. i have been trying to contact my dr for further tests but they seem to think it is nothing. they are very quick to mention my age and how i have no family history of colon cancer, and how unlikely it is that i have cancer.  i know there is something wrong and will continue to be persistent with them, but in the mean time i would really appreciate any advice or symptoms anyone else has had and the outcome. thank you so much.

Courtney

 HI COURTNEY,

When it comes to colon cancer  it does not matter if you are 20 or 90 yrs old colon cancer is no respector of age, also  does not matter if your family does now have history either, as my wifes  did not have family history and she got colon cancer.

Ask  your  Dr to give you a colonoscopy, that will determine if you have colon cancer, dont give up keep pressing them as you are the one that knows your own body,   Once you get a test  and if every thing is clear, you will have peaceof mind .

God Bless You .. and keep going ..

Let us know how you get on ... Best Wishes  ..

MAKE THEM GIVE YOU A COLONOSCOPY! I had flattened stools with blood outside, sporatic abdominal pain that worsened over the years. After 6 years I got a colonoscopy and have Stage IV coloncancer. Make them take you seriously

I had none.   Our disease is inherited.  My father mother died, at 42 and then my dad had the same thing, but went to the wrong dr.  But 35 years ago they didn't know as much as today.   I had one operation . Then found out FAP family, is the whole colon has to go.   Really I just grow polyps.  Just not one but 100's of them..    Just get a second opinion
