My Mama

I just wanted to let everybody know my mother passed away Wed night. Most of you don't know me but I lived on this board when my mother was going through her treatments for EC. I still check on people but I just haven't had time to post much.

What I really want everybody to know is My mother did NOT die from cancer !! She was diagnosed Dec 06 and had 5 1/2 weeks of chemo and radiation. No surgery because of bad lungs. She was in the hospital almost ready to come home after a bout with her lungs when she got a stomach bug called C-Diff. When I was first told of this I had no clue how deadly this could be. It shut down her kidneys.

Remember people to keep fighting. My mother did die but she beat the BEAST ! You can to.

Sorry to hear you lost your Mom. You have certainly been there for her through her illnesses, and I'm sure you will miss her terribly. I know sh.e had really struggled with COPD issues, even when the EC wasn't getting her down, so she is done with the struggle. I'm sure she was a very strong woman to fight the way she did.

Hope you have many beautiful memeories to cherish and hold in your heart.

Hi Patty I sorry to hear about your mother. my mother is 81 years old and is fighting Esophageal cancer stage 4 she is taking her chemo treatments she was diagnose june12. my condolence go out to you and your family     Brenda
