1 year cancer free

Hello everyone, I just wanted to give some incouragement to others who are fighting this cancer. I was dx t3 last july and had surgery in November after chemo and radiation. My one year scan was clean. I have gotten alot of my positive outlook from people on this site and still do, so I wanted to give some back. My life is very good, back to work and looking forward to more good things ahead. For those struggling I can say from experience that we can have a good quality of life it just takes God,time, family,friends and alot of hard work.. Keep a smile on your face as much as possible and God bless you all .  Bill

Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary!  This EC board also helps to keep me positive as I go through this journey with my husband.  He was diagnosed 3/08 with Stage 3 EC and immediately had surgery at that time followed by chemo which ended in 7/08 and so far so good.  He has a CT scan coming up on 11/12 and will find out the results a week later.  I plan on posting the good news at that time.

When we were new to all of this a little over a year ago, it was so helpful for me get the information and support I neded from this board to ease our fears.  I must admit I still have down days even though we have had nothing but clear scans but when I read positive results, such as yours, it changes my outlook.

Congratulations!! I haven't figured out how one person survives and another like my husband doesn't. I had prayed,,, etc.. I am just happy that other people DO. It is a very horrible disease..  My husband was a very strong believer in God, me, too. I just want others to know that sometimes, no matter what we do or believe,,, it is our time to go.  I used to feel guilty that I didn't pray or believe enough, i still do,, but it isn't true....Lucky you! Enjoy your life!
