i have level 4 melanoma. i had a large, 11mm, mole removed that was ulcerated, and vascular. i had a wide excesion and skin graft done on my right forearm. the lymph node biopsy and pet scans came back clear! i just returned from md anderson where they suggested interferon. one group of doctors at my home suggested the same thing, while another suggested no further treatments. i have been reasearching the interferon and quite frankly it scares me. a lot of possible bad side effects with little promise in the long run. anyone with any testimonies about the treatment?

Andy,

I am so new to this and am terrified. That being said, I would and do want every treatment known to mankind to permanently cease my cancer, regardless of the side affects. Its easy for me to say this because as of now I have not undergone any treatments other than surgery with the next scheduled for Dec. 2nd. I am trying to educate myself, without scaring myself further, as best as I can. You should do what your gut tells you and what is best for you. Hope you are well and that you find your answers.
