Website Changes

I must say at first I thought I was mis-directed when I came onto this site today as of the changes. After reading several post from members being un-happy with the changes I hope that everyone can adapt as personally I would not want to see some of the good folks whom visit and are members here leave. It would be a great loss.  I seems like the older we get the less we care about change but I for one have gotten use to it not that I like it. Anyweay, I really hope those of you who are considering leaving this site think about it and stay. God bless all of you

Bill I do not mind the changes but trying to find everything has been rather tedious. Yesterday when I logged in everything updated had dissapeared. I logged out and back in (like a reboot) and Voila there it was. I think they made such drastic changes there are several glitches still lurking. I have found my way around everything except where you go to receive private emails. I know how to send. It is much more time consuming at the moment so a level of frustration kicks in for people who just do not have the time to hunt around. Thanks for encouraging people......mms

Good Afternoon Everyone;

I, too was surprised by the new format.

And yes, change does come hard as you grow older. But as the saying goes: "The only constant in life is change."

I will suggest that perhaps the folks at CC can help us navigate this newer format by posting a learning "inservice" for our benefit. I also find it difficult to locate what i am looking for.

Let's allow them the benefit to work out the glitches, question them to an easier way to navigate this new layout and then decide what further action needs to be taken. Overall, I don't believe that they did this to confuse or frustrate us! We're all good people. I'm sure as adults we can find some common ground.

Good luck to us and take care;

Kevin

p.s. I just want to know how I became K. C. 1 I was happy just being plain ol' K.C.

Kevin glad youlogged in, That new name is one of the mysteries of this new site. Change is always difficult, even thoughI vented my frustration, I understand it. I decided that I would wait for the glitches to get taken care of. For me I have had some weird experiences trying to log in and get around. Anyway go into your profile and change the name back, see if it willtake. I think someone else got a funny name too. Hope you are doing ok We are off to Europe on Tuesday (Cold there also) but going to visit friends. Trust all stays well. MMS

Hi Bill<

some times when you are tired and don't feel well...you just aren't interested in searching for things. If you don't IMPROVE IT don't CHANGE IT!!

We will hang in there, we need each other.  When someone figures out how to find private replys, please let us all in on it.

When you get online, look at the top blue banner. See the dark blue horizontal strip? It says My Profile / My Friends / My Notifications (x) and that (x) is the number of private  messages for you. Also you can request to be a friend of someone and you will get requests here which you can accept or not. (Not sure what being 'friends' in that way really means. We're all Friends!)

One word of caution: when you want to send a private reply, you click the box below the window you were typing into. or if you are replying to a private message and want to make YOUR reply again private, click that. I have had it once happen that the private reply, even though I KNOW I clicked the "Make this message a private reply" box, showed up on another thread! YIKES! It wasn't too personal but of course my email etc gets deleted. So proceed on that level with some caution until the bugs have been cleared out! :o)

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info I went to that spot but as there was nothing in the boxes I was confused. Now all of a sudden there are all my messages. I guess it just took a while for them to get the info back in. CC did write to ask me if I had found it yet...MMS

I actually finally found one thing I DO like about the new website. The fact that they display the message you are replying to right beside the "reply to a message" box. It really helps remember all the info and the person's name, as well.
