Help with chemo

Hi Where to start- My niece has been treated for appendix cancer and has had two major surgeries and 2 heated chemo's and now has been on 2 years straight of chemo.  The past 2 years she has been on regiment of folfori and eurbitux. Due to a recent CT scan (Showing some enlarged lymph nodes, and her cea has recently been rising slowly-now apx 12)  they changed out and added back in oxyplatin (she was on that 3 years ago-with the first round). She had 2 rounds of folfox and now has had an allergic reaction to the oxyplatin but had to stop. The doc wanted her to be on 3-4 rounds then do a ct scan.

Can't the chemo also cause inflammation of lymph nodes and cea rise?  What can cause enlarged lymph nodes other than disease? ie colitis-which she has. Is there any new drugs out/clinical trials? Any ideas doctors to see or clinics, or diet.

Many thanks and may the battle be won by all soon!
