can my boyfriend take PSK while he is doing chemo and radio ? thanks

hi, every one. I am new here. tomorrow my boyfriend is going to have chemo and radio. I just want to know if he is still can take PSK or not .how much of the maximum dose. Now he is taking 6mg per day. by the way he is OAIII. thanks for the help. I will be really appreciate.

You really have to ask your BF's neuro-oncologist or the nurses there. We gave our doc a list of all the supps my son Andy was taking and the maitake mushroom (may be similar to PSK) was the one thing they said no to.

Memorial Sloane Kettering has a good site called "about Herbs"

it tells you of studies on the herbs, interactions and other useful info.  Maybe you can check it out.
