Dear sir,

Hello,

I hope you are doing well. My mom is 67 and she had a nephrectomy surgery 5 years ago then she missed one kidney. Her ESR is 110  and now she did some tests and in sonography the doctor told him that you have another tomur in your other kidney! he said that I'm trying to remove some part of other kidney but I'm not sure if it can work again! Did u have the same problem? how much is the chance of returning cancer again? is there any new medicine or treatment for this bad disease!!!!any news or experince  would be appreciated to share...

Thanks a lot and wish you always healthy,

Regards,

A sick person waiting for your help....a

Recurrent RCC

In rare cases, a patient will have a solitary site of recurrence of RCC detected several years after nephrectomy. In these exceptional cases, surgical removal of the solitary site of recurrence may be possible after extensive imaging tests have shown no other evidence of cancer spread. Otherwise, treatment with targeted therapies or cytokine immunotherapy will be recommended. Clinical trials of new treatments are an option as well. Radiation therapy can be used to reduce symptoms of some metastases. Controlling symptoms such as pain is an important part of treatment at any stage of the disease, proper treatment of pain often helps people with cancer to be more active and continue their usual activities.

how is her overall health state? Im not sure a 67 YO woman can have another partial nephrectomy.
