Does anyone know how close you can put the effudex to the lips? I have been putting lip gloss on so it does not get on the lips, and putting effudex right up to that. Thanks.

For some it is prescribed for use on the lips. I used it on my face and lower lip per doctor's orders. My lip reacted and blistered and peeled and looks better than before but it was uncomfortable for about a week. So if you were not told to use it there than don't of course, but you don't need to worry abou a small amount getting there. IF you have AK's on your lips they will react ot it, if you dont than your lips wont respond anyway. Hope that makes sense.

Thank you!, it is reasuring to hear that. How did you avoid getting it on the mucus membrane of the mouth? I read a pamphlet on Effudex and it said to avoid the eyes and mucus membrane. Glad to hear you are doing ok.

i just put it on my lower lip like i would put on lipstick . im sure i ingested part of it by licking my lips or eating or drinking . But I never reacted inside my mouth or anything. And keep in mind that they use effudex internally for cancers, not in creme form but still its used. So dont worry yourself over a tiny bit getting on or near your lips.
