Hello, I am on Temadol (the Chemotherapy drug) and I am also taking the Steroid Dexamethasone for my brain swelling, can any of these cause Skin peeling? I have quite abit of that in my mouth. No where else though.

It's most likely caused by the dexamethasone. Just one of it's many evil side effects. There are rinses to help by prescription, but I've found a solution of warm water and salt rinse several times a day as the only thing that helped. I'd talk to your doc about tapering your dosage of dex once the swelling has subsided.

Could it possibly be because chemo drugs work on rapidly dividing cells(as in cancer cells) and your mouth and intestinal system is one area that is lined with rapidly dividing cells? Also why the nausea as well? Just a thought.

I don't get to much nausea,I'm on this very strong (and pricey) Anti-Nauseant that works pretty good. I just don't understand the mouth skin peeling, it comes off in hunks, I hope its not an allergic reaction...
