I'm on day 7 of Efudex and I'm applying it over the entire surface of both of my arms from wrists to shoulders. Pretty much feel itchy and irritated at this point and afraid after reading so many of the "scary reports" of others.
Really sleep is so important and I wouldn't hesitate taking benadryl that will stop itching and help you fall asleep. If that doesn't work I'd definatley call my derm. to get some stronger stuff so you could get sleep and help you cope with this. Just my thought as sleep is so important to me.
Not that I have any answers but I think we're just starting the bad part as you and I are on the same day of our treatment. Sleep is absolutely a needed help in this process.
I'm already feeling pretty uncomfortable myself and trying to tell myself we're fighting cancer. That's big, and if it doesn't hurt we won't win. "No pain, no gain"! So we'll just put our dukes up and fight this one out.
If you're okay with it, I'll enter on your side of the ring and we'll fight cancer together. Do you hear the bell?
Good night,
Trish Anne
