Hi,

I recently had revieved my results from a leep (lletz) procedure. My gyno called to tell me that he thinks she removed all of my CINiii lesions but my results say different and to come back in 6 months. Can anyone tell me what this means:

Posterior LLETZ:

High grade squamous intraepithelia lession: Focal CIN3, with limited endocervical glandular involvement. A detached fragment of similar dysplastic epithelium is identified within one of the seperate smaller pieces of tissues noted macroscopically, but excision appears probaly complete.

Anterior LLETZ:

High grade squamous intraepithelia lession: CIN3, with extensive endocervical glandular involvement and mild HPV effect. No definite invasive maligancy is found. However, completeness of excision cannot be assured at the deep resection margin (where an involved endocervical gland has been transected).

I am not sure what to do next. If anyone can offer advise it would be greatly appreciated.

Arthena,

Did your MD not take out the time to go over your results with you? I am concerned for you, b/c every MD usually takes out the time to go over your results.

From what I know and understand, sounds like you have severe dysplasia. I would contact your MD's office and request a follow up to fully go over your results.

That is the only peace of mind that will actually help.

Wishing you lots of luck.
