Hi everyone!
I just returned from my ent appointment today. I saw for the first time the tumor in my lingual tonsil. My doctor says is significant and massive in size. It is asymmetrical with the left being the side effected, also my tongue is about twice the normal size on the left. The doctor did a scope in office along with reaching into my mouth and was able to push on the tonsil and move it. Have to say I have a headache now and my neck is sore. Strange.
Anway, I go in for bloodwork tomorrow and my brain MRI and MR Arthrogram. I also go in for a CT Scan on the 9th and return to the Neurosurgeon on the same day. Then return to the ENT on the 16th to discuss my surgery to removed both lingual tonsils and also to do a revision on my adenoids.
The thought is possible lymphoma cancer or lupus - I don't really like the sound of either. And we won't anything for sure until the surgery and biopsy. Scares me half to death - my hubby is deployed and I am not really saying anything to him or the kids until we know for sure. What a load to carry, not complaining but wow kind of scary! :)
Thanks for listening and any help would be greatly appreciated!
