Hello to all.  I was just wondering if anyone out there has been through 2 surgeries within 13 months, taken tremedor and chemo?  If so, can you tell me if or how long it took for the swelling and pain to go away?

Thank you & God Bless

Individuals are big time

I had 2 surgeries in 4 months.   no trouble at all no pain minimal in swelling- had big surgeries too. However I had to stop tremedor and change to avastin/cpt11. now i am changing again. Everyone is differient. Make sure u have docs that are special in GBM. And say lots of prayers.

Thank you, I am so happy for you that your surgeries, etc went so very well. They tell me mine were unique because the first on was the size of a grapefruit and the second was the size of a golfball both of which were on my short term memory part so they say two surgeries in exact area is probably what is giving me this additional pain.

God Bless.

Left temporal lobe? That is where Andy's big grapefruit sized tumors were too. Major impact on language and short term memory, TERRIBLE head-cracking explosive pain. He had lots of dex, dilaudid, and later Fentanyl (patch) for pain. Right now it's under control. The pain was coming back early in October and he started on Carboplatin and Avastin, and a tiny bit of Decadron. I don't like to think about it starting to hurt again, because it will mean we have to practically knock him out for his own good, but it seems like that is his tumor's way of saying I AM HERE. Other people have seizures, loss of balance, etc.

Good luck! Really hope the therapies work for you.
