Rick passed

Hi Everyone,

I am sad to let you know that my husband, Rick, passed on Sunday evening.  He had improved so much that he decided to try treatment again-so he started Torisel chemo 1/week.  The first 2 weeks seemed OK but then the he declined but he wanted to continue the chemo.  We had a Dr. appt on Monday and I had decided that enough was enough and wanted to cease treatment and go back on Hospice.   Sadly, he never had to make that decision.  So, thank you to everyone that responded to my many, many questions.  This message board is a great resource.  Keep up the good work!   Bookmum Sue

Oh, Sue.  I am so sorry to hear of Rick's passing.  I know these upcoming holidays will be really tough for you.  Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm very sad to hear this news Sue. Know you are not alone in your grief. Today marks two months since my mother passed from RCC & I miss her terribly but find support from others a great help.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Rick, my mom Geri passed away on September 4th after a brave 2 year battle with RCC. She too wanted to try every option right to the end. I am thankful to Hospice for thier help in the final 2 weeks of her life. I pray that soon there will be a cure or a chemo that works for years instead of months.  Cathy
