HIgh probability of clear cell RCC - but kidneys "normal"?

Newbie here..I have been preliminarily diagnosed with metastatic clear cell RCC, based on the pathology of a small mass removed from my right side at waist level...surgeon recommended a CT scan, and when that came up normal a PET scan was recommended...the results showed two "hot spots" - one in right inguinal lymph node, and one in the breastbone...wierd thing is, the kidneys appear normal.  Oncologist said he was going to get a second opinion on the original mass taken out(i.e. send it to a different lab) because the clinical picture just "didn't fit". , and recommended a CT biopsy of the lymph node "hot spot".  I feel absolutely fine - no pain, weakness, or any other "classic" symptoms associated with RCC...*scratching head* ;)

Soooo, basically I'm sort of "resigned" to the very high possibility of it being a true case of RCC...but at the same time, wondering...guess all I can do for now is wait and see what the pathology reports say...
