I am a noid i guess.  This is the first time i've wrote about this.  I was told in july i have carcinoid cancer of unknown primary.  Mets in liver and eight bone sights.  I have an apt with dr anthony in new orleans on 11/24/09.  What should i expect at that apt?

Hello G!   I too am a 'noid.'  I am also getting use to calling myself 'a noid.'  I was diagnosed a year ago.  Like you, I will be going to an appointment on the 24th for consultation.  This is a big step for me.  For a year, I fooled myself into thinking I could deal with this with alternative treatments.   My tumor was in the opening of the small intestines.  I know the 'little boogers' are hiding out somewhere doing their thing because I am experiencing some of the symptoms of carcinoid syndrome. I'm hearing some really good things about the group in Kenner.  Like you, I am trying to prepare and gather questions.  If others out there have advice for 'first timers'... please send the suggestions onward!
