Help I Get Sick After Eating

Hi everyone, I am writing this in desperation for my wife. Please if anyone can give me some advise I would GREATLY appreciate it!!!!!
My wife went through Bariatric surgery. She was told she was too heavy, even when she was only 215 lbs. During the surgery the doctor ended up sewing her esophagus closed against her stomach. This was discovered within 5 hours when the surgeon realized that my wife could not swallow anything, even here saliva. An emergency surgery was performed and the doctor ended up sewing her esophagus straight to her Jejunum,(Her throat to her intestine) pushing her stomach to the back of her body. Apparently by having done this, the stomach was totally destroyed and unfixable.
Some would say that this was done at a butcher shop hospital but actually it was done at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak MI., A highly credited hospital in the country.
After spending 5 mo. On a picc line I ended up taking my wife to University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor MI.(Ranked 9th in the US) where they fixed the all the problems they could.
Whats done is done and our whole lives have now changed, I am trying to get my wife to eat with no stomach now and it’s becoming a task. Even the doctors at University of Michigan Medical Center are confused why she cannot hold the food down. All the tests say that’s it a clear path now. She is even on anti-nauseous medicine.
Mary says that’s not working to well either.
Getting to the answers I DESPERATLY SEEK.
My wife has gone from 165 lbs to 125 lbs. even when she’s trying to eat. She says she has extreme lower pain after eating. NO MATTER what she eats. Even if it’s little bites and little portions, even shakes.
She throws up most of it after about an hour.
I will be willing to talk to anyone and call anyone for informational help.
Most Doctors will not even see her because of what the original doctor did.
Most doctors I talked to will not take someone else’s screw up.

Well, in my opinion your wife needs to get as much greens as possible being she can't eat much. She will need this by supplementation. You should go to a health store and by powdered greens like Barley Greens or Cereral Grassed etc.... Also, being she had all this surgery she should take Systemic Enzymes to help eat the scar tissue. Do your research on Enzymes. I personally like Wobenzyme or Vitalzym.

Hi, My husband had to have a feeding tube. He had prostate cancer.He went for 2 months without eating or drinking. The hospital said they can't
say what was wrong with him other then the cancer could be doing this. A nurse told me to ask them about a feeding tube. The doctors said yes and he did fine for 1 1/2 years till the cancer went into his bones. I an't say if this will help I just wanted to share this with you.

You need to get your wife on enzymes. She should be taking digestive enzymes with her meals to help digest the food and then she needs to take systemic enzymes between meals on an empthy stomach.

After all the surgery your wife has had I am sure she is full of scar tissue (fibrin). If you take a good strong systemic or protien eating enzyme it will help eat away at the scar tissue. I personally like Wobenzym and Vitalzym for enzymes supplements.

She should try a liguid viamin that I am on called Vemma. It has a lot of vitamins and minerals in it as well as a fruit called Mangosteen, which is very good for all sorts of problems. There have been indipendant studies done on the Mangosteen and can be found at www.pubmed.gov. This will at least help her to get some of the vitamins and minerals that she needs in an easy to absorb form for the small intestine.

I know how this can be upsetting to read but many people have benifited from the surgery.
There has been at least 4 people I know at GM that have lost lots of weight and have improved there health drasticly. Like every basket of apples some are rotton.
Through this ordeal I have met Two of the best surgens in this field, (one is because I have really good insuranc). One is Dr. Webber at Harper Hospital in the Detroit Medical Center,
and Dr. Finks at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor MI.
Both have worked together to fix my wife.
If it wasn't for them two my wife would be on a feeding tube the rest of her life.
We just got the wrong doctor.
My wife is seeing a Gastroligist at Haprer Hospital now and is having great success with the acid reflex in her.
What makes me made is the doctors talked her into the surgery even after she lost 45 lbs in two months. It was all about the money at Buemont Hospital and not about the patient.
