Subject: Broccoli Sprouts reduce tumors? Kills H-Pylori Bacteria better than drugs?
Date: 08/20/2002
We recently read that Broccoli Sprouts reduce tumors. Wonder if anyone has used it for this purpose. It also kills the H-Pylori bacteria that causes ulcers - BETTER THAN PRESCRIPTION DRUGS.

Would be interested in talking to anyone who has tried this method. My husband has just had surgery for a carcinoid tumor - they could only remove half of it. Thinks he had it for years, and his time might be very well limited at this point.
Help?

My husband, Jim, has esophageal cancer and we have been fighting it with the Macrobiotic Diet. You need to read about this diet. Even if you don't do it 100%, it will help. Read about macrobiotics on the internet or read the book "When Hope Never Dies" by Marlene McKenna.

Broccoli, cabbage, kale, brussel sprouts, collard and mustard greens contain a gruop of compounds called indoles which may prevent tumor-causing estrogen from targeting the breast and sulforanphane which detoxes tissue and blood and promotes production of cancer-preventive enzymes.

Other cancer fighters are soybeans, citrus fruit, carrots, parsnips, celery and parsley all of which contain phytochemicals.

While broccoli will help, it alone will not cure cancer. You need a whole diet change. Read about macrobiotics.

Judy, Thank you for this information! I was on HRT for over 15 yrs and finally (about 8 yrs ago) decided to stop them! Read a lot about soy, Natural Progesterone, etc. The doctors have continued (until just recently) prescribing HRT and it makes me furious! I know too much estrogen is deadly. I have known several women in the perimenopause stage who have gotten breast cancer. That's when the estrogen is being left to run rampant without the protections of the progesterone, which is declining.

Have you read of "Coral Calcium?" Supposedly people who live where it is in the water (Japan &?) have little incidence of cancer. My husband has started taking this too, and hopefully he'll start a larger intake of the "greens" that you have mentioned. I may sneak them into some of his meals : ) I'm afraid, he's not, so it's hard to get him into this. He's 65 and is a very negative person (not a good thing when you have cancer either!).

Thank you for this help!

You said you had 15 pages on diet and curing cancer - could you please send them to me? My husband has the same cancer as yours, with only 9-12 months to live or less than 9 months. I need all the information I can get.

Thank you, Cher53

I understand you have info on diet and cancer - could you please send it to me? I have been told I have less than 3 months to live (stage 4 stomach cancer-with a "surgically compromised" digestive system) and would appreciate this information. Thanks TR

It will be interesting to see if Matula tea does
kill H Pylori. I have been on the tea a fortnight and have also had a week of
antibiotics, but my symptoms have as yet not gone away…can Denol(http://www.drugdelivery.ca/s3422-s-DENOL.aspx ) treat it??
Anyone can give their opinion on the effectiveness of Denol???
