I know this is an old message, but I came across it when I was researcing angiosarcoma.  My brother in law was diagnosed in October and I can't seem to find anyone to reply to me.  Were you able to find any info?  I know this is a rare cancer and the doctors don't even know what will work. Please reply.  We're desperate!

I was diagnosed with Angiosarcoma in December 2006. it was discovered when I went in for by bi yearly Pet Scan for my Non Hodgkins Lymphoma.  On January 4, 2007 I underwent an 11 hour surgery to remove the tumor. I was in trhe hospital for two weeks recovering from the operation and am still recovering at home.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Dear all,

My 37year old brother was diognosed with Angiosarcoma last week.  We are in downward spiral.  We will be starting chemo next week with most likely toxicol and radiation.  We have consulted Sloan Kettering and MD Anderson.

We are scared to death and the prgnosis is not real good.

I will let you know how it works, he actually does cancer research for a career and we have some great oncologist and access to the best.

Has anyone had any better experiences with this?

October 2005 - Surgery to remove original angiosarcoma tumor on back.

December 2005 - Two tumors in lungs - Doctors wouldn't operate.

January 2006 - Began Nexavar (Sorafanib) pills 4/day.

July 2006 - One lung tumor disappeared.  The other shrunk in half.  They operated to remove the regrowth on back and the remaining half tumor in lungs.

February 2007 - Surgery to remove tumor under left arm

March 2007 - Surgery to remove tumor under right arm pit.  Off Nexavar.

May 2007 - Large growth on back in original site and additional tumor growing on side.  CT Scan didn't show anything inside yet.  Began Avastin...want to add additional chemo and am looking into least side effects.

Is Angiosarcoma the same as Angiomatoid fibrous hystiocytoma? My boyfriend was just diagnosed with this after his Doctor "brushed off" his growing lump in his neck. Does anyone have any experience with this? Please help! Darla
