Does anyone "Out There in Cancer Compass Land", (male or female)have, or has had, small cell carcinoma of the BLADDER ??????

The Dr. said "it" is rare to have the small cell carcinoma "in the bladder, as it is mostly seen in the Lungs.

Also, I would appreciate hearing (on the Cancer Compass), from someone who has used a Naturopathic Dr., to treat ANY TYPE of Cancer.

It appears that if cancer can be Treated successfully, via "natural" therapy, it would bypass the "dreaded chemo, and Radiation.

I would appreciate ANY comments, from ANYONE.

Respectfully, Donald P.

My husband was diagnosed with small cell carcinoma of the bladder in early Dec.06. It was a mass that had gone thru the muscle and fat layers clear to the inner wall of the bladder. This cancer is very rare in the bladder as I'm sure you've been told. It is also very invasive and once in the blood stream it travels to the lungs, bone, and brain.  You must seek Chemo right away and then have your bladder removed.  It's the only way to prolong your life. Don't listen to anything that relates to Transitional Cell Cancer of the bladder.  You have Small Cell and it must come out. You must shrink it with Chemo first.  Do it so you can live.

My husband has had 4 cycles of Chemo about 3 weeks apart. He is scheduled to have his bladder out on the 23rd of this month. The chemo has shrunk the small cell enough that they can proceed with the operation. They have done several scans and MRI's over the last 3 months and cannot find the small cell anywhere else in his body.  Scans are not 100% perfect and they don't know what they'll find when they get in there. Hopefully it is contained to the bladder and I'll be blessed with his companionship for several more years.

Please tell your doctor you want to start Chemo right away!

I'll check in time to time if I can help answer questions at all. God Bless you. Lynn
