Anyone else out there with carcinoid tumors and syndrome?

My mom has stage 3 liver cancer with flushing. It's going on 3 1/2 years now. The doc gave her 6 months and she's still with me. If you have any questions I will try and answer them.

Yes, I also have carcinoid with the syndrome.I was diagnosed 10/94 with liver mets. Had surgery
1/95 to remove as much tumor as possible. Am now on Sandostatin LAR Depot inj., 30mg. every 3wks. I have to pace myself, which is very difficult. I guess fatigue and excessive sweating are my #1 concerns at present. I take life one day at a time, sometimes, 1 hr. at a time. Blessings to you, and just know you are not alone.

Hello,I am Stephen,based in NZ.My carcinoids got fairly large in my liver-after about 6 years .I have had Selective Internal Radiation Therapy a couple of months back.(Micro scopic radiated balls pumped into the liver via an artery.)This can shrink tumours up to 90 % buying more time.The radiation knocked me so quite underweight.I am now eating anything to put on weight.

Once back up in weight,I will return to a near vegetarian diet,then go on the Rudlph Breuss 42 day diet.He seemes to cure near everything.The diet is basically carrot and beetroot juice,along with herb teas-based mostly on sage tea.A very alkaline diet.Most natural anti cancer diets are strongly alkaline.

Yes - I have carcinoid tumors with met to the liver along with carcinoid syndrome.  I am actively in treatment - can I help answer some questions?

Ver good information - that is basically what my husband did.  He just had surgery to remove the primary and a tumor on the liver.  He is doing well.  Are you on Sandostatin injections??
