Does anyone have accurate statistics on the occurrence of appendix adenocarcinoma? Also stats on genetic tendency? My husband had adenocarcinoma of appendix back in 1989, had right hemicolectomy, no chemo or radiation therapy then. Four years later, a large mass was found on right adrenal gland, smaller deposits in lung, liver, bone. It was right through his peritoneum. They debulked the mass on right adrenal gland at that time and gave some chemo and radiation therapy, and he died 6 months after that. He was 42 when he died. I live in Australia. Thanks for any statistics you can provide.
