Mestatic Renal Cell In Pancreas

Has anyone been on the nexavar that has renal cell tumors in pancreas. My husband has three tumors and started nexavor today.

My husband also has kidney cancer. He has been on Nexavar since December 23rd. He is doing well except for hand-foot syndrome. He has had two spells which have lasted a little over a week each time. No vomiting or anything like that. Actually eats well. Two weeks ago we were at the cancer doctor and he said lymph node cancer had shrank somewhat and other tumors grew just a little bit. Doctor said it might be a couple more months before we know for sure if this is working. Was on Interluken prior to Nexavar. Made him very ill.

Just to pass on my husband has three renal cell tumors in in pancreas and by accident found another one March 15 in his small intestine. He has just started on NEXAVAR. He has taken it 6 weeks and was scanned this past week at M. D. ANderson and all tumors in his pancreas have shrank 10% and the one in his intestine has also shrank. We are very excited about NEXAVAR.
