Hi Ron - I am very interested in your suggestion that the Rebuilder might help, and am curious as to whether it has made a difference in the past couple months. I am 56 and had a Stage III-B tumor removed in January 2006, did 12 rounds of FOLFOX (though the last 4 were without the oxaliplatin, as my oncologist was concerned about the possibility of permanency as the neuropathy that started in my fingers, mouth and face began to present in my feet), and finished in August 2006. Initially, the neuropathy was very minor - especially compared to the complaints of others whose messages I have read here - until the week after my FOLFOX treatments ended. Then the effects in my feet really began to kick in. Now my feet are affected 24-7, whether standing, sitting or lying down. I try very hard not to let it affect my daily routine. My toes are very stiff, the soles of my feet feel like they have cardboard or plastic glued to them. Walking or hiking is uncomfortable after a mile. I am an Ultimate Frisbee player, and can run for about an hour on a soft grass surface, but am prone to ankle twists and calf cramps, more than before the chemo. My oncologist said the neuropathy would all be gone in 6-9 months. I saw a neurologist, who tested for and diagnosed some nerve damage in my legs and feet. He said that nerve damage is very slow to heal and somewhat unpredictable, and that my condition would likely take at least a couple of years to begin to dissipate, if ever. I am not willing to accept that this condition may have become permanent. The Rebuilder sounds to me like a logical solution, and I am inclined to try it. I have read and listened to the material at the Rebuilder website. Have you or any other reader had positive results? Negative? Any? Let us know.

What kind of feedback did you get on the rebuilder?

Ron - as an ovarian Cancer Survivor who received 9 treatments of Taxol and Carboplatin I too am a sufferer of peripheral neuropathy.  I am curious to know since your current status as a result of using the Rebuilder.  It has been some time (2006) since your original entry and as I tend to be sceptical of this types of devices I am very curious to know your status after all this time.  I would very much like relief for my neuropathy.  My treatment ended in July 2008 and am still suffereing from the neuropathy.

My name is Ron and I live in Westminster, CO. If you are like me, you are truly desperate for some positive news on treatments for peripheral neuropathy. I am a 50 year old, Stage III Colon Cancer survivor and underwent FOLFOX6 treatment (5FU, Oxaliplatin, Leucovorin). I completed 9 rounds of chemo on April 28, 2005. My peripheral neuropathy worsened terribly in my feet and mildly in my finger tips for several months after and has maintained it's grip on me to this day, especially in my feet. My hands are mostly back to normal however. My wife was tired of me complaining all of the time about my aching feet so, in desperation, we decided to spend the $399 on the ReBuilder. You can research this device at (www.rebuildermedical.com). I have done six 30-minute treatments over the last two weeks and am convinced it, at least, helps moderate the pain in my feet. This is especially true at the end of the day. I hope to start doing these treatments twice-a-day for 30 minutes each to see if I can get any true healing of the nerves. I don't know if it has initiated any healing yet. It is most likely way too soon to tell. Let me hear from you if you are interested in my results or if you have tried it yourself. I will send out more feedback once I get through some more treatments.

Ron,

Read with interest your neuropathy due to oxaliplatin and colon cancer. I finished treatments with oxaliplatin due to colon cancer on Dec. 9,2011.  Neuropathy was bothering me soI too purchased the Rebuilder. I have been using it for only two weeks. I have not seen any immediate results. I was wondering how the rebuilder worked for you?  I hope things are going well for you and would appreciate any feedback. Thank you. Mike
