I saw a doctor write on this message board and just thought since I'm researching my problem, maybe someone could help/make suggestion.

Going to an Endocrinologist (hormone doctor) been thru all kinda blood tests, including checking thyroid, due to emotional feeling, stress, depression, you know how us women get and at my age (47) needless to say, never been thru this cruddy feelings.

After an Argine Stem Test (growth hormone defenciency test) my points are 1% and was told by Endocrinologist it should be 5.3 and higher.
Now with OUT insurance wants an MRI on my pituitary gland, so see if a "tumor". So I ran out of her doctor's office, and started researching it. I must say, the pamplet she gave me DOES say most common cause in adults is a tumor. Yes this growth hormone def. is what is also seen in children when they do not grow, but acts differently on adults.....makes all kind of things work wrong men and women.

My question is after many prayers....should I go thru with the MRI, should I find another doctor to discuss, due to pamplet I have tells I will have to take injections 6-7 times a week; no way !!!!!

Has anyone heard of this "hypopituitarism" ????

Hi yes it is very common in menopause females and yes you
should have the MRI to rule out a tumor....I too have the exact
same thing and the MRI said no tumor....you know it is better
to have the MRI and know for sure...good luck and go get the
MRI you only have one brain.....bills will always be around
