Subject: Glioblastoma Post Radiation Blood Burst
Date: 03/26/2006
Following resection and 30 days radiation with chemotherapy, everything was going fine, then 5 days later husband had a blood vessel hemmoragh (tumor was in left parietal lobe). He was left with little use of right arm and no feeling in right leg. He is now in rehab and progressing. Doctors ae optimistic that as the blood drains back down, he will regain full, partial, or no use...but they are optimistic. Has anyone else had this problem? We were at the Lahey Clinic in MA and felt that he was getting appropriate treatment 9and still feel that way) We know that glioblastomas are very difficult. Even they were surprised that this happened so soon after radiation...again, anyone have anything to share on this???
