1 Year Anniversary!

We made it a year! My husband is a Glioblastoma survivor one year out! While it is has been the toughest year of our lives and for so many around us, we keep going. We keep living. He is still here!

We celebrated by going to a 3 Doors Down concert Friday night, his favorite band, and it was awesome. To see him singing and having a great time, we are truly blessed. Big 1 year MRI on Monday then off to Duke University to have the MRI read and hoping for another clean MRI!.

To those fighting this GBM beast, hugs to you and your families. Keep fighting. Don't give up, as I have wanted to do so many times. Hold on to HOPE. Find peace. Know this path that has been chosen for you was because you are so much stronger than you think you are. My husband is tough and still strong emotionally. I am a stronger person emotionally and feel like I can do anything. That being said, this cancer is up against a big army!

I'm so happy to hear about your husband....it's really great that he's doing well.  I just had my 2-year anniversary from GBM.  I thought it was a funny coincidence how 3-Doors Down is his favorite band because they are mine too.  "It's Not My Time" was like my anthem throughout all the treatment, surgeries, etc. I'm hoping they'll come near me soon so I can go to a concert.  They're really great.  Congrats to both of you making it through this year, you are obviously both very strong.

That is my husband's song as well. His motto! Along with "Let Me Be Myself". He sings that alot to himself or whoever is listening. LOL!

They were a blast to see in concert. I hope you get to see them some day!

for my wife yesterday!

I don't know about 3 Doors Down, but I sure would have liked to have seen The Doors-ha.

Or maybe Nick Lowe (acoustic, by himself) but most of all Townes Van Zandt. or Guy Clark!

I'll sing a Blaze Foley song "If I could only Fly" to my wife on her 1 year anniversary...

CONGRATULATIONS!
