is Radiation Really Necessary? if So, How Much?

I have been diagnosed with Stage 3 uterine adenocarcinoma, Grade A well differentiated. The perionital washings showed loose cells in my abdomen. I did have a hysterectomy in January, but they left me my ovaries, so I could pursue in-vitro later, but now they want to irradiate my pelvis, and all of my abdomen, which they say will kill my ovaries and prevent me from ever having my own kids and put me into menopause. But after reading on these boards about how many women didn't pursue radiation after surgery is making me wonder.... do I really need it? Can they do ANYTHING? My radiologist said that if I was just doing pelvic radiation, then they could move my ovary to my abdomen - but that they can't move it twice-WHY NOT? Any ideas or suggestions greatly appreciated.
