I need any help possible. A friend of ours son who just graduated from HighSchool last year was diagnosed with a grade 2 inoperable brain stem glioma (Astrocytoma). He just finished 8 wks of treatments. Is there anyone out there who could give info about another course of action ? Please your help means a lot to us..Contact me at --- Message edited by CancerCompass staff: for personal protection, email address removed. Lib, it is very important to seek second, and even third opinions on treatment options from a major cancer center that specializes in treating pediatric brain tumors. You can try St Jude's in Memphis, Duke, MD Anderson, and UCSF. This is not a comprehensive list by any means, but the above centers see large volumes of brain tumor patients. Also, a tumor that is inoperable for one surgeon may be completely resected by another. The key is to get those additional opinions.
