Cryotherapy

Maybe choosing this proceedure instead of HIFU in Canada. any feedback out there.

I aam scheduled for Cryo on May 3,2006. I was told at Washington State University that I am/was not a good candidate for surgery at age 75. If you want to see a good summary of the Cryo experience, look for a personal history by Larry Junker. You can probably find this by going to google and try searching for PCa + Larry Junker or + PCA. I can not comment on HIFU.
If you cannot find the Junker write-up, let me know and I will find it for you.

Thanks for your information. Either procedure will cost $18-22,000 depending which is chosen. even though I have full Canadian Health insurance. Neither has been around long enough for the Canadian Government to recognise it. There is no private insurance in Canada.Dont be fooled when you hear Canada has free health care!
