2 Years NED

My IL sugery was 2 years ago at MD Anderson. I was dx at stage III. Had preop chemo/rad, then the surgery. I am at the moment doing very well with NED.

Just remember, always get you a second opinion if you are not comfortable. My local oncologist told me there was not a lot that could be done other than chemo. MD Anderson restaged at stage III with only 1 node involved. At surgery, no evidence of tumor was found.

I now work again full-time, eat what I want, and do any thing physical like before. I know I am not out of the woods yet, but I am going on with life like it never happened.

I pray for the one's that are fighting this disease and ask that you be strong and fight it with your best.

Congratulations on your 2 year anniversary.  It's good to hear that everything is going so well for you.  We are also trying to move on with our lives and live life like this whole thing never happened.

firechief, Congratulations on reaching 2 yrs with NED -- big milestone.  I'm very glad to hear that the recovery has gone well and you are back to living your life.  I also just had my 2 year anniversary in July, and it feels great to be back to doing the things I love.  Rick

Congratulations on your superb recovery. It is really heartening to see Stage III dx do this.

I had my 2 year all clear yesterday - as you say it feels great to to be getting back to doing loads of things. And to know that all the little problems are just little problems, of small consequence.
